Last Night invasion, arrest and humiliation of some of our Judges is a slap on our democracy and as a Nigerian who believe so much in the Nigerian project, an explanation from those who ordered such an attack on our Judiciary is very necessary for the sake of history.
Sometimes when we argue and discuss on the future of our dear nation,I am always tempted to look back few years ago when the message of change was so loud and Nigerians were so eager for change, but my concern then as it is now is our attitude as a people, are we really ready for the change?
So many things has happened during this new found atmosphere in Nigerian politics, from the blame game, economic recession, anti corruption crusade, accusations and withdrawal of Forgery Charges against the Senate president, among others, but the truth remain, are we really ready for the change?
The hope and faith that over 140 millions Nigerians had on this current administration is currently fading, not because Mr President is not working, the fact remains, during the election period, Nigerians were promised Heaven on Earth, I can still recall, the free food in schools, payment of allowance to unemployed youth, I even saw a sticker saying that one dollar will be one naira once Mr President took over, but I guess we need to keep our hope alive, there is still time, after all come 2019, The word “CONTINUITY” will be so visible even to the blind.
As I sit on my small desk starring at my bulb to see if light will come after 5 days of no electricity, my minds races for answers on what would be the reaction of most Nigerian especially now that they have seen the change or some part of it.
But before I pause for this week, always remember to put our dear country, Nigeria in your prayers.
