History as Kogi state appoints first-ever female press secretary

Petra Akinti Onyegbule has been appointed as the first ever female chief press secretary in Kogi state, TheCable reports.

Onyegbule’s appointment also makes her the first in her position in northern Nigeria.

Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi state, on Tuesday confirmed Onyegbule’s appointment.

Prior to her new designation, Petra was Bello’s special assistant on electronic media.

She is also the second ever female CPS in Nigeria and presently the only female CPS.
