6 Relationship Mistakes You Must Avoid

All relationship involve learning and growing together and they all come with different challenges. If you are guilty of any of these mistakes listed below, don’t panic, learn from them and grow along.

1. Trying to Control your partner.

Most people have control issues that can drive their partner crazy. Most time, they try to show that they are in charge of the relationship and so they deserve maximum respect, having such feeling is not good for any relationship and may lead to break up.

N/B: Treating your partner as yourself is the best way to overcome this mistake.

2. Assuming your Partner is going to Change.

Change is asking another person to be something they are not. And the number one mistake most people normally make in a relationship is to assume that their partner will change. The truth is, they can compromise, but you can’t just sit and assume that they will turn perfect over night. It doesn’t work that way. You must accept the fact that, we are all human and we must learn to accept and accommodate each other’s flaws.

3. Comparing your partner to someone else.

Comparing your partner to someone else, for example your ex is extremely hurtful. Your partner is your partner and he/she is so unique, the earlier you understand this, the better for your relationship.

4. Forgetting to appreciate your partner.

“Thank you” “I’m sorry” and “I love you” are three set of words that are so vital in a relationship.
The moment you withdraw “Thank you” from your relationship bank, your relationship may go bankrupt.

N/B: Never forget to tell your partner “thank you” “I love you” etc.

5. Pretending that all is well.

We sometimes make that mistake in order to make our partner feel better while we keep dwelling in sorrow and suspense.
Hiding your feeling when things doesn’t seem right doesn’t look good, because it is always better to discuss a problem and find a solution, instead of keeping silent and be tormented by them..

N/B: Learn to share your thoughts and secret with your partner.

6. Loosing the romance

We sometimes forget what drive us into a relationship and so we forget ourselves and loose our romance. Once the romance is gone, the relationship can no longer be visible. Relationship is hard work, don’t leave everything to your partner, do your part and you will be happy.
