There’s a young guy I know…

There’s a young guy I know.
He invited a lady from Delta state to come see him. They have been online dating. They wanted to make it official so he invited her over.
.
.
But she wasn’t what he expected. He couldn’t imagine himself staying in the same room with her. That Sunday morning, he wore his best suit and went to the nearest church.
.
.
Because of how neatly dressed he was, he was taken to the front seat and made to sit close to the Head Pastor.
While in church, he was so into the praise and worship. He closed his eyes and being a drama king that he is, knelt down and was crying bitterly.
.
.
The Head Pastor asked to see him after the close of service.
After service, Pastor told him, “God spoke to him that he should ordain him a Pastor”
Just like that?
.
.
In this young man’s heart, he was laughing and saying “God don miss road be that”
.
.
This is a guy man. That doesn’t do churches. And because of how he displayed, which was a stunt he pulled was picked on by the Pastor.
.
.
Anyways, he got home and discharged the girl. He told her he was traveling that evening and couldn’t leave her alone at home (which is a lie), immediately she left. Another female came in.
.
.
He started receiving calls from the Pastor, Ushers, you know those people that bombard new members with calls reminding them of activities held in church.
It got too much so he went to church.
Gradually, he was made a Pastor.
.
.
This was someone that has never pictured himself being a Pastor. That’s not born again.
It happened that, he’s a good looking man and single too. The ladies in the church both single and married had a thing for him.
He knew this, so he took great advantage of it.
Weekly, he would take one of the church members to a far hotel room and they’d have sex.
.
.
In church, he would paint himself a saint. His sermons were fire. He mentored many church members.
But deep in his heart, he knew he wasn’t supposed to be there. But it was already too late. He enjoyed the benefits that came with being a Pastor.
.
.
There were times he would want to be at a bar and take a few bottles of beer. There were times he would want to say “Oh Fuck, Damn! There were times he just wanted to be free.
He knows he was under the watchful eyes of congregation and even the pastor.
So he would now hide to do them.
.
.
He would sneak out to a bar, sneak to drink beer, sneak to approach a call girl, sneak to do all sorts.
This was who he is.
Before he became a pastor, he never had to sneak or hide. He never had to pretend. He never had to do these things and feel guilty.
Now he did them, felt guilty NOT BECAUSE IT WAS BAD, but because being a Pastor was his meal ticket and he didn’t want to throw it away.
.
.
He mentored youths. And many times, youths had said, they’d love to be like him when they grow up.
He always had an evil smug when they said it.
.
.
.
.
This is it.
I never want to be anyone’s role model.
This post was inspired by my friend Jay Davies Victor
His comment on facebokk read:
Jay Davies Victors
“On the other hand, If someone’s presence could stop you from posting shitty things on facebook, isn’t that a blessing rather than a curse? I have them all in my list, from my pastors to my unit leader, down to church members, family and relatives… Sometimes being yourself isn’t a good idea 20% of the time, it’s good to have them, they set you back on track. Critics are parasites, but certain parasites are responsible for the survival of their hosts.

I think being yourself is the best gift you can offer to yourself.
If you know you love cuss words, don’t pretend you don’t .
If you don’t like it, don’t pretend you do.
.
.
This is why most people have problems in their relationships.
So a man know the kinda woman he likes and what exactly turns him on, but chooses to ignore those women because of some reasons best known to him.
So he goes to a church to choose the prayer band leader, knowing fully well what it is he is looking for he won’t find.
.
.
I think if you have a dirty mind, always express it. Don’t hide.
I think pastors, and church members shouldn’t determine how we live our lives.
I think I rather be myself than be someone else and pretend to be that someone else.
