It was too cold outside and the sun did not shine as we expected, neither did we see the rain to water our crops, they told us it’s climate change, but my grandmother tried to argue with them, yet, they lied to us and we were left with no other option than to pray for the harmattan to end.
I tried to understand their fears, when my brother mention the Mungo Park saga, they said Mungo Park discover River Benue and River Niger, but if discovering by their own definition means the first person to become aware of something and some people were already living and using the River before Mungo Park dream of coming to Nigeria, who are they deceiving?
They said Nigeria gained independence in 1960, and they made us to believe that we are a free nation, a democratic nation and the number one black nation on earth…
But how can we be independent when our economy is still depending on them for survival, for instance, if they don’t buy our oil our economy grumbles…
No they lied to us, Nigeria is not independent, we are still being controlled by them.
They told us that Nigeria is one Nation United with one purpose and goal and we tried to believe, but if we are one nation as they say, I pause to ask, why do we still have the Northern agenda, the southern agenda, the Hausa agenda, the Youruba agenda, the Igbo agenda and so on?
No, they lied to us,
Nigeria is not yet a nation, we are just a collection of interest group each seeking to satisfy personal interest.
They tried to force me to jump into the romance of Obasanjo and the National Assembly, they said Baba has warned them of corruption and even preach to them about cutting down of cost and proper management of the economy, but I wonder what Baba told them in his tenure during the failed third term agenda a few years ago….
They said you can’t read this to the end and they even threaten to sue me if I tell you everything, yes, they lied again, we will continue next week.
