Nigerian Woman, Olufunmilola Obe, Makes History In The USA As She Becomes Inspector At The New York Police Department, See Photos

A Nigerian woman in the United States Of America, USA, has made history after the New York Police Department promoted her to the rank of Inspector.

Olufunmilola F. Obe becomes the first African woman to achieved such feat.

Her promotion was announced December 18th and was witnessed by Nigerian and African leaders in New York who were ecstatic when the announcement was made.

She began her career in 1992 as a Police Cadet and was promoted to Sergeant in December 2000. In July 2005 she was promoted to a Lieutenant, promoted to Captain in September 2008 and to Deputy Inspector in June 2012.

She has a BSc in computer science and Masters in Public relations.

Olufunmilola is married to Peter Obe nad they have 3 children.
