Newly sworn in Minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has stressed the important of completing all ongoing rail project in the country started by the administration of president Goodluck Jonathan.
Ameachi said this when he visited the ministry.
“It is necessary to chart a new course towards completing all ongoing projects.”
“It is important that we realize that we have a mandate to deliver on our promises and there is competition among the ministers to deliver and we don’t want to take last ”
“I believe in the principles of discharging my duties… We are interested in completing all ongoing rail projects around the country because we don’t want to disappoint Nigerians.” He said.
He is expected to resume work on November 17 alongside Sabiu Zakari, the permanent secretary of the ministry
Rotimi Amaechi was a key campaigner for the incumbent President even though it was against the choice of his regional brother Goodluck Jonathan, who was the president then.
